Placement of the vending machine
We want those unpleasant smell people to notice our vending machine and be able to buy the stuff from our vending machines. It is already package it in a very convenient way. taking a walk around bugis mrt station, i realise it is always packed with a lot of people walking around. so i think that the machine cannot be too big and be placed in a way where it will block other people's way and reduce the space of the entrance and exit.
the need all the space they have in the busy mrt station.

personal experience
i used to spray perfume on my inner wrist, the base of the throat, behind ear lobes, behind knees and the inner elbow. all these places are known to make the perfume last because these spot emanate heat.
however after apply for a long period of time, sometimes applying 2 to 3 times a day on these spots, i start to get sensitive on my neck and my inner elbow. even though i didn't seek the doctors help, but i went to google what is was. what i found was that i had the symptoms of eczema of my neck and my inner elbows.
at first i thought it wasn't caused by the perfume because i thought it would be safe for health and skin. but i realize every time i were to apply perfume on those spots, my skin would become worst and start to itch a lot. so i tried stopping apply on those area and just on my clothes. after a few months, those rashes disappeared and ever since then i stop applying on those areas. even after so long, if i were to accidentally applied it on my sleeves around my inner elbow area, it will be become red.

health risk from perfume and other scented fragrances
many of the chemical found in perfume can be found in cigarette smoke as well. so in short, it harms our body as well. many can be bothered by smell from perfume causing sinus, headache or asthma problem.
the chemical go straight into our bloodstream if it was applied to our skin or from the clothes to our skin. we also inhale the chemical fume straight into our brain which can cause major harm to our body. it may have 'narcotics' effect where some people seem 'addicted' to their perfume which is similar to drug addiction.

Men Vs Women
Women actually have more sweat glands than man. But however men's swear gland produces more swear as compared to females.
Even though there's difference of deodorant for men and women in the market. They are actually the same. The only difference they have is only the product packaging and the fragrance that they produce.
Can we be immune to antiperspirant?
Studies shows that the body may be immune and adapt to the antiperspirant and find a way to still unplug the glands. By doing so, they may produce more sweat in another part of the body.
Deodorant and antiperspirants
The smell of sweat comes from the bacteria that breaks down one of the two types of sweat on your skin. Deodorant's antibacterial power can stop the smell before it starts.
The difference between a deodorant and a antiperspirants is that, antiperspirants deal with the sweat directly.

Causes of Sweating and Body Odour
Our skin have two main type of sweat glands which is the eccrine glands and the apocrine glands. Eccrine glands cover most of the body area and open direct onto the skin surface. Whereas Apocrine glands cover in area abundant in hair follicles like the armpits and groins.
the causes of sweating and body odour is that when body temperature rises, the eccrine glands will secrete fluid onto the surface of the skin. It will cools the body down as it evaporates. this fluid is composed mainly of water and salt. The apocrine glands will produce a milky fluid that most commonly is secreted when a human is under emotional stress. the fluid is odorless until it combines with bacteria that is normally found on the skin.

Comparing HongKong's MTR to Singapore's MRT
HongKong's MTR is highly comparable to Singapore's MRT because of the way both MTR and MRT works. HongKong's MTR started functioning since 1979 and transport about 5 million people everyday. It works 19 hours or more from 5.30am to 1pm.
The reporter had chosen the peak period to take the MTR in Central Station. It is observed that the rush hour in HongKong is not that crazy compared to singapore's rush hour. The MTR stations have wide walkway and wide platforms to give more walking space for the people to walk around. There is also internet kiosk for people to use.
The video shown that the concourse area look crowded but however, the platform of the station is isn't as crowded as expected. Both MTR lines have the same service, they are going the same way which decrease the waiting time. It is also 8 carriages long so as to be able to pick up as much passenger as possible.
Commuters do queue up while waiting for the train. The air-condition in the train is just nice and the air isn't stale.
Even though the MTR can be as packed as MRT, but the MTR still have wriggle space for people despite it during the rush hour and there's is a lot of people on board. The MTR arrives a lot more faster as compared to the MRT. The MTR arrives approximately 1 per every minute nonstop with constant flow traffic.
The MTR can be hectic but it isn't stressful because it is efficient, clean and comfortable.

What if I'm the smelly person in the train?
If I were one of the smelly people in the train and have no choice but to board the train, I think I would be embarrassed but there's nothing I can do about it. I would totally be aware of my own unpleasant smell but it's not like the shower is anywhere accessible. Maybe I wouldn't know that I would smell this way before I step out of the house thus I wouldn't bring any deodorant or perfume along with me. So there is hardly anything that I could do to make it better.
I wouldn't feel uncomfortable and is more aware in my surrounding on how other people is reacting to it. If they showed obvious actions towards the smell, I would feel hurt and be sensitive about it. It's not like I want it to happen on me.
If people were to approach me and tell me that in smelly, that could hurt me deeply because definitely not everybody would want to smell unpleasant and not favorable.
If it is during peak period where there is a lot of people in the train and it's very squeezy, I know people would feel uncomfortable standing around me. Having to tolerate my smell till they alight the train. Some people can be so rude to be obvious in their action but it's not like I can rebut to that. I have to act like I'm not hurt and isn't affected. I have to be oblivious to my surroundings even if I don't want to.
To be honest, I don't think I can do anything about it but to get home fast. But everywhere I go people would be affected.
